NO YOUNGER

I wasn't getting any younger;
So without thinking, I married anyone life offered;
Unknown man approached and satisfied my hunger,
In two months, I was in the marital order;
I wasn't getting any younger.
***********************

I wasn't getting any younger;
But neither was I mature in thoughts that bothered;
My husband turned to a boxer before sundown;
Beatings on my body became the new order;
I wasn't getting any younger.
***********************

I wasn't getting any younger;
Therefore, I endured further;
I thought of leaving him by October,
But I quickly swept these thoughts under,
Because, I wasn't getting any younger.
***********************

I wasn't getting any younger;
Day and night, these were the words I muttered;
Maybe he still loves me, I pondered,
At least he gave me money which was important;
You know I wasn't getting any younger.
***********************

I wasn't getting any younger;
So I let him beat me more times than others;
With every passing day, my body became sorer,
Until I couldn't breathe or shutter;
It is evident that I wasn't getting any younger.
***********************

I wasn't getting any younger;
And now I am laid six feets under,
with flowers I didn't get before my run-down;
At least I made my fellow mates feel worn-out,
But now, I am never getting older.

DEAR FUTURE WIFE

Dear future wife,
I'm wondering where you are,
as much as I wonder what you do;
Do I already know you,
Or am I yet to grace your beauty?

Dear future wife,
Do you think of me
as frequent as I hope you're real?
Would you like a diamond ring
for our glamorous wedding?

Dear future wife,
After a few years, we have our first child;
Look at her, she has your eyes;
I'll love her like I do you;
I know you want a baby girl too...

Dear future wife,
We'll lay on the kitchen floor,
Looking at the chandelier up above us.
I'll tell you when I wrote this piece,
And then ask if you like cotton candy...

Dear future wife,
I hear a cry and our conversation is cut short...
You smile and spread ur arms forth;
Baby crawls forth and beckons on you;
She smiles wide at the thought of food.

Dear future wife,
Our baby is put to sleep,
and all that's left is us;
So we listen to music and sing together;
I'm hoping you like good music too.

Dear future wife,
Morning is upon us,
Did we sleep on the ground?
You look really terrible this morning ,
And now I love you even more...

Dear future wife,
This is what I think of at 2am,
while hoping you're in safe hands;
God bless your family,
They're only keeping you for me.

Dear future wife,
I'll love you unconditionally;
I'll cherish your flaws, embrace your silly;
I'll understand your 1001 different moods,
But most importantly, I'll wait for you.

Because, dear future wife,
Love is two souls tangled as one;
Hearts beating in sync;
And so, in advance, thanks for saying 'Yes',
when i say the words: "Will you marry me"?
